Catholic University College for Education, Graz

As from the Winter Semester, 2007/08, teachers'  initial and in-service training as well as further education of teachers (including teachers of Religious Studies) for schools offering compulsory schooling will be taking place at Pädagogische Hochschulen (University Colleges of Education), not at Pädagogische Akademien (Teacher Training Colleges), as used to be the case in Austria in the past.

Catholic University College of Education (CUCE) Graz sees itself as building on the firm, successful foundations of its forerunner institutions at Graz-Eggenberg, of Pädagogische Akademie, Religionspädagogische Akademie, Kolleg für Sozialpädagogik, as well as Religionspädagogisches Institut. Like those earlier colleges, the new Kirchliche Pädagogische Hochschule Graz is committed to innovation, to moral values, and looks to international horizons.
